Unfortunately, I'm not using dpt_i2o as the reporter of #478004, which 
seems to be the problem for him. I don't have _any_ devices in /dev/scsi 
(actually, I don't even have that directory). Instead I have 
/dev/i2o/hda(|[0-3])
