Bug#482599: grub-pc: grub will not install on MBR on HP585 hardware raid drives

Grub reported some sort of error trying to install to /dev/hd0.
I even tried :
   ln -s /dev/cciss/c0d0 /dev/hd0
then returning to the GRUB install phase, and it still failed.
It seems to be confused by the strange device names that come up
for this hardware RAID system.

LILO installed just fine, and seemed to know that it should use
/dev/cciss/c0d0

I have not yet attempted to re-install GRUB now that the system is running,
but I may try.
