Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.97+20091210-1
Severity: important

Hello,

After the last update, which was 2009-10-12 for me, and installed apparently "grub-pc 1.97+20091210-1" and "grub-common 1.97+20091210-1", when I wanted to reboot my computer (what an idea?), I didn't see my beautiful graphic grub menu, but instead of this, I saw the ugly (for the point of view of my wife!) grub prompt. Nevertheless, I typed "configfile /boot/grub/grub.cfg, and at the first time, it loaded the menu and I could simply boot the system. I reproduced the action a second time, and when I wanted to use the completion (with "tab") to complete grub.cfg, I saw some bizarre characters at the end of the line after "cfg" and was forced to delete them to load the configfile. For the moment, I downgraded to grub-legacy (to avoid my wife screaming) but I don't know what happened.

Thanks a lot for your great work!
