What vga= paramter are you using? 0x305 ? What does "vbeinfo" GRUB command
(with unpatched GRUB) print for this mode (0x105, as you need to substract
0x200)? What does "linux16 /linux.img vga=ask" say about this mode?
Do other modes work?
