Bug#538743: grub2: update-grub does not backup grub.cfg before changes

Are you sure there isn't /boot/grub/grub.cfg.new?
The config is generated there and then it's moved to grub.cfg
How did it fail?
I just tried it with an exit 1 at end of /etc/grub.d/00_header and it
worked fine for me.
