Package: grub-common
Version: 1.96+20090603-2
Severity: normal
Hi,
grub-probe reports hd0 as device for booting, but the bootload doesn't
find this device. It has to be hd without the trailing zero.
# grub-probe --device /dev/hda4 --target=drive
(hd0,4)
% cat /boot/grub/device.map
(hd0) /dev/hda
The name used by OpenFirmware:
% ofpathname -a /dev/hda
hd
The full path:
% ofpathname /dev/hda
/pci at f4000000/ata-6 at d/disk at 0
Similar the cd:
% ofpathname -a /dev/hdc
cd
ide0
% ofpathname /dev/hdc
/pci at f2000000/mac-io at 17/ata-3 at 20000/disk at 0
% cat /proc/cpuinfo
