Bug#553415: Same problem on intel iMac 20" Core Duo

Hi!

I experienced the same problem today, after rebooting.
Grub 1.97 refused to display the menu. It simply froze with the message
"GRUB" on the top left corner of the screen.
Reinstalling 1.97~beta3 allowed me to boot my machine correctly.

I tried again to upgrade to 1.97, and I noticed some complaints. I have
not written them down, and my machine is again not bootable. I will post
them tommorrow if needed.
