I remeber tht I told it to remove all the files. But I will not try
it out by now, I am happy to have grup-legacy with passwords back
ond working. I *personally* don't see any improvement in grub-pc, but
I see that for other szenaria it might be better suited.

In fact, I was thinking about going back to lilo.

Ah, that is at least good to know. In fact it was not only ages, but
such an heavy disk-io as unpacking I don't know hundreds of MB, the
disk monitor applete bumped into red always when calling update-grub.
