I've tried using the command line in grub.
Whenever I type in a command, then press either enter or tab, it immediately shows "out of range pointer 0xebc0".

I'll try uncommenting that line as soon as I've got a shell on that computer.

I THINK it's then "ATI Radeon IGP 350M".
It's the ATI graphics card for the compaq nc4010 laptop.
