If you check the bug report system for grub-pc (
http://bugs.debian.org/grub-pc), there's  #567618 /usr/sbin/grub-probe:
error: unknown filesystem. (
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=567618)

Apparently fixed upsteam, but not in Debian yet. Part of the fun of using
unstable.
