Bug#564844: grub-pc: Fonts don't show in the new graphical boot menu

Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.98~experimental.20100111.1-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Hi,

I have installed the latest grub-pc package that includes Jo Shield's graphical boot theme. The boot menu shows fine in the resolution that I've set via GRUB_GFXMODE in /etc/default/grub. Even the icons that act as bullets for the menu entries show (e.g. Debian swirls for Debian kernels), but the fonts do not show!

Cheers,
Fabian
