Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.98~20100128-1
Severity: important
I successfully installed grub2 on a sata drive managed with lvm and dm-crypt. Several
previous upgrades proceeded normally. Attemptint to upgrade to 1.98~20100128-1 fails with
the following error message:
Setting up grub-pc (1.98~20100128-1) ...
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: physical volume pv1 not found.
Auto-detection of a filesystem module failed.
Please specify the module with the option `--modules' explicitly.
Generating grub.cfg ...
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: physical volume pv1 not found.
dpkg: error processing grub-pc (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
grub-pc
The original grub.cfg is still usable and I am able to boot.
