Hi Colin.
Remember my email from yesterday,... where I've described that I use an
USB stick to boot?
Just tried out your new system of using stable device names...
It shows my USB stick as device in debconf:
[*] /dev/disk/by-id/usb-JetFlash_TS4GJFV90_DUGKUT86-0:0 (4102 MB,
TS4GJFV90)
[ ] - /dev/sdb1 (1000 MB, /boot)
which is nice, but when I remove it, an re-run dpkg-reconfigure,... it
just complains that the previous configured device is gone and I have to
select another one or so.
Would it be possible, to offer (in such a case) a retry button or so?
Cheers,
Chris.
btw: Debconf gives me e.g. the following:
[ ] /dev/disk/by-id/ata-HDT722525DLA380_VDB41BT4CA1GYC (250059 MB, HDT722525DLA380)
[ ] - /dev/sda1 (100002 MB, /) [ ] /dev/disk/by-id/ata-HDT722525DLA380_VDK41BT4CEAXME (250059 MB, HDT722525DLA380)
[ ] /dev/disk/by-id/ata-Hitachi_HDT725025VLAT80_VF1100R1CJ583B (250059 MB, Hitachi_HDT725025VLAT80)
[ ] /dev/disk/by-id/ata-ST3750640AS_5QD03J2N (750156 MB, ST3750640AS)
Is that "- /dev/sda1" intended to be there?
