Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.98-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
GRUB legacy cannot be upgraded to GRUB2 on a system with a RAID array for /boot. I upgraded one of my servers from "Lenny" to "Squeeze", but the upgrade of
GRUB fails because the package does not know how to upgrade when /boot is a RAID array. This is possibly peripherally related to bug report 575552. If
GRUB2 were already installed, I could probably work around this, but as long as the installation fails, there is no way to hand-configure GRUB2, especially
not while maintaining a chain-load from GRUB legacy until the operation fo GRUB2 is confirmed.
