Bug#586447: grub-pc: grub-probe can't find / (on lvm setup)

Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.98-1
Severity: normal
Hey,
I'm running a squeeze box, and noticed on trying to install latest 2.6.34
kernel (from experimental) that grub was having problem finding my /:
Setting up linux-image-2.6.34-1-amd64 (2.6.34-1~experimental.2) ...
Running depmod.
Running update-initramfs.
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.34-1-amd64
Running update-grub.
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: cannot find a device for / (is /dev mounted?).
User postinst hook script [update-grub] exited with value 1
dpkg: error processing linux-image-2.6.34-1-amd64 (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1
Errors were encountered while processing:
linux-image-2.6.34-1-amd64
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
My setup is an lvm volume for / and /home, with a /boot outside:
corsac at fitz: grep -v '^#' /etc/fstab
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
/dev/mapper/fitz-root / ext3 defaults,errors=remount-ro 0 1
UUID=c43ffb58-075e-4b77-bee1-cd394c9abf02 /boot ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/mapper/fitz-home /home ext3 defaults 0 2
/dev/mapper/fitz-swap none swap sw 0 0
/dev/scd0 /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto 0 0
For now I can still boot previous kernels, but having an half installed one
and no way to run update-grub concerns me a little.
Verbose output doesn't seem to be helpful:
