I think #557645 covers this issue.

Yes, I don't think grub2's update-grub supports Xen yet. This is #505517
(plus a few duplicates).
Probably this bug should be closed as a duplicate of the two above but I
do not want to step on the toes of the grub maintainer. Asias, as
reporter I think it would be valid for you to close this issue if you
are happy the above bugs cover your issues. Send a mail to
583071-done at bugs.debian.org if you wish to do this.
