Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.99~rc1-2
Hello,
the new 1.99~rc1-2 fails to install to my /dev/md0. 1.98+20100804-14 did
well.
$ mount | grep /boot
/dev/md0 on /boot type ext2 (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev)
$ cat /proc/mdstat
...
md0 : active raid1 sda2[0] sdb2[1]
240832 blocks [3/2] [UU_]
...
# grub-install --force --no-floppy /dev/md0
/usr/sbin/grub-setup: warn: Attempting to install GRUB to a partitionless disk or to a partition. This is a BAD idea..
/usr/sbin/grub-setup: error: embedding is not possible, but this is required when the root device is on a RAID array or LVM volume.
sda and sdb are GPT disks with sd[ab]1 53.0 KiB 0xEF02 BIOS boot
partition - just in case it matters.
regards
Mario

Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
