Bug#610184: grub-pc: Bad handling of spare devices in RAID arrays ? "error: superfluous RAID member"
Vincent Danjean

Sat Jan 15 22:43:34 UTC 2011
Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.98+20100804-13
Severity: important
I just upgraded grub2 from 1.98+20100804-11 to 1.98+20100804-13. I now see
lots of *error* messages (hence the important severity). I think this is due
to the fact that I have a spare device in one of my RAID arrays.
Here is my RAID arrays (see the last one with a spare device) and after
the result of a "dpkg-reconfigure grub-pc".
I think that my config is normal and that grub should not display these
alarming messages.
