Bug#614548: Grub installation on mdadm raid-0 array fails

Hello,
I tried to install squeeze (DVD 6.0.2.1) with raid1 on an Asus P5B and
encountered the same error.
I didn't want to downgrade metadata 1.2 to 0.90 so I gave squeeze 6.0.3
a chance - this time using the netinstall cd image.

The installation completed successfully (softraid with mdraid, never
dropped to local shell to "repair" things).

So I'm not sure if using netinstimage corrected the behaviour (because
it didn't install an old grub version from the DVD) or just using
squeeze 6.0.3 instead of 6.0.2.1 solved the problem (there is a never
grub in 6.0.3).

Anyway, I can confirm, that there exists a simpler workaround: Use
netinstall image of squeeze 6.0.3 and the mdadm raid1 installation will
succeed (In my case only one partiton: sda1+sdb1=md0 with xfs, no /boot
or similar).

Regards,
Marcus
