Bug#694974: Acknowledgement (grub-common: grub2 fails to boot from hdd with 'pv5: no such device', grub-probe reports 'no such disk')

Is there any other information I can provide to get the ball rolling on
this?  I need to have / on a raid device, and grub's refusal to boot is
a major showstopper.
