Package: grub-pc
Version: 1.98+20100804-14+squeeze1
Severity: normal
Hi! I'm trying to install a virtual machine using KVM.
I run debootstrap by mounting the disk in the host filesystem, say /mnt
Then I chroot to the /mnt, mount proc and sys and try to run grub.
However, I got the following:
# /usr/sbin/grub-probe --device-map=/boot/grub/device.map --target=fs -v
/boot/grub
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: info: the size of hd0 is 2097152.
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: info: the size of hd0 is 2097152.

/usr/sbin/grub-probe: info: Partition 0 starts from 2048.
/usr/sbin/grub-probe: error: cannot find a GRUB drive for /dev/sda1.
Check your device.map.
Can you please help me?
Thanks!
Cheers,
Giuseppe
