Bug#741342: LVM trouble at boot with several PVs

Hello,
We just patches some of our production Wheezy machines
and encountered this bug as well. In our testing on systems where
there's only one PV in the VG the root device is the /dev/mapper version
in grub.cfg. On systems where there's more than one PV in the VG
grub.cfg gets the UUID of the device which renders the system
un-bootable.
We're using the fix of setting
GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID="true" too but I suspect this is severe enough
it should be fixed in Wheezy, shouldn't it?
We have multiple dev hosts in vmware we can use to provide more information if need be.
Thanks,
Keith.
