Hi,
this is, as #887483, an upstream suggestion. Please consider forwarding it.
It would be great to have a menu-driven counterpart to grub-reboot
and/or grub-set-default that actually goes through the same motion as
grub itself goes, displaying the menus, allowing the user to choose a
boot menu entry while the actual Linux system is still running (and ssh
available), and then configure the selected boot menu entry for the next
boot only (grub-reboot) and the new default (grub-set-default).
Greetings
Marc
