Source: grub2
Version: 2.04-1
Severity: normal
User: debian-sparc at lists.debian.org
Usertags: sparc64

Hello!

For some reason I haven't tracked down yet, grub2 fails to boot on
sparc64 systems with GPT partitioning with:

{0} ok boot
Boot device: disk File and args:
WARNING: Unsupported bootblk image, can not extract fcode

WARNING: Bootblk fcode extraction failed
GRUB
ERROR: Last Trap: Illegal Instruction

{0} ok

This problem does not show with Sun partitioning on sparc64, it does
not show when building grub2 from upstream git and it does not show
with the last 2.02 package from Debian.

I will try to track this issue the following days but I suspect that one of
the Debian-specific patches is responsible for the problem. I will report
back to this bug report once I know more.

Adrian
