Did that and selected my NVMe drive and set that also up as boot device in my 
BIOS (i.e. like it was before), and now it did work.
Now that it looks like I (finally) get it, I may play around with it a bit more 
to get a better understanding of debconf. Which in turn may increase my 
understanding (and thereby use of) preseeding :)
