Packaging upstream master

Hi,

I've been trying for some time to package upstream master branch,
failed so far. My intention is to test and use master branch.

I'm familiar with git and (to some extent) with upstream sources, but not that
much with gbp (which I suppose is used). I also have only basic knowledge of
Debian packaging structure (rules, changelog, etc, but not having real packaging
done).

What would be the quickest approach to drop most of the patches, but keep some
(I'd keep bare minimal, e.g. skip-grub_cmd_set_date.patch to avoid rebasing
patches I does not need - I expect recreating patches from time to time) and
import upstream tarball grub-2.05.origin.tar.gz (created with make dist,
renamed).

Thanks a lot for sharing your workflow.

Kind regards,
Petr
