This morning, grub-efi-amd64-unsigned:amd64 (2.12-7, 2.12-8), grub-efi-
amd64:amd64 (2.12-7, 2.12-8), grub-efi-amd64-signed:amd64 (1+2.12+7,
1+2.12+8),
grub-efi-amd64-bin:amd64 (2.12-7, 2.12-8), grub2-common:amd64 (2.12-7,
2.12-8),
grub-common:amd64 (2.12-7, 2.12-8) were upgraded.
I was shown a configuration confirmation on what to do with a config file (I
think it was /etc/default/grub, but not sure).
I chose to keep installed (my modified file), however it was still partially
over written with the additional line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet".
I had previously # this line in grub which was still here and still #.
I removed the added line GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet", did an update-
grub
and boot again shows the print.
