<div>About a week ago, a maintenance update for &#39;grub2&#39; came thru (for the &#39;sid&#39; repository).</div><div><br></div><div>It runs a &#39;pre-install&#39; script, which displays 2 different options, either or both of which the operator/owner</div>
<div>could select (or not select).  The wording of one entry (for the named partition, eg. sda5) was clear and</div><div>I selected.  The other one was NOT clear...was phrased similar to &quot;...&#39;sda (Fujitsu), etc&#39;.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Long story short, I selected both, but later learned of my error...what it DID was to rewrite the MBR for disk &#39;sda&#39;,</div><div>which is NOT what I wanted!</div><div><br></div><div>I&#39;m requesting that the additional phrase &#39;re-write MBR&#39; or even just &#39;MBR&#39; be made part of that option-question,</div>
<div>since that is what the industry calls it!</div><div><br></div><div>[It WOULD have been clear to me what that option was asking if it had only contained &#39;MBR&#39;, so please</div><div>rectify this, for future upgrades.</div>
