I just saw, that there is a debian/watch file, but upstream packaged a bzip2 
instead a gz archive as in previous versions.
This can be solved in future by using this watch file:

version=3
opts="uversionmangle=s/bz2|gz//" \
http://sf.net/gtkpod/libgpod-(.+)\.tar\.(gz|bz2)
