I've re-opened the bug.
The new 2.1.1 release is ready for upload, waiting for my sponsor to 
validate it. Hope it'll be sooner than later.
However, feel free to test the git repository snapshot to see if the 
issue remains in this new version.

I'll try to test this behaviour in some way.
