Hi Christopher,

I definitely sympathize with this. Unfortunately the current diff between
stable and unstable might be too large for the stable release team, and I'm
unsure which isolated fixes are really necessary. Also afair libimobiledevices
backports won't be enough, there are stuff needed in libusbmuxd and maybe
others.

If someone can pinpoint the specific fixes I can try to make that happen, but
I won't do the initial work.
