[Pkg-haskell-maintainers] HDBC debian support

Dear maintainers,

I'm currently curating the HDBC (and related HDBC-*) source, and
noticed that there's a debian directory there which hasn't been
touched in quite some time, and refers to rather old versions of HDBC.
I suspect that this will be a remnant of when John Goerzen maintained
the package for debian, but this is no longer the case, and judging by
the modifications that have been made since, it seems that this is
being done differently now. I'd like to remove any stagnant code from
the HDBC libraries, and I'm considering removing this directory
entirely, but I don't know what the implications are for the debian
release. Furthermore, I don't think distribution specific metadata
(which this directory seems to contain) should be in the master
branch. Any advice would be appreciated.
