I’m surprised that this affects "ghc --make Setup.lhs", and could not
reproduce it here:
$ export DEB_BUILD_HARDENING=1
$ ghc --make Setup.lhs
[1 of 1] Compiling Main ( Setup.lhs, Setup.o )
Linking Setup ...
Or were you talking about trying to build the twidge Debian package?
