[Pkg-haskell-maintainers] Bug#753960: shellcheck: detect lack of protection from empty dirs

Paul Wise pabs at debian.org
Sun Jul 6 17:11:10 UTC 2014

Package: shellcheck
Version: 0.3.3-1
Severity: wishlist

In empty directories, this construct will print an asterisk. It is
probably better to use the latter versions to avoid that.

    echo "$f"

# bash only

    [[ -e $f ]] || continue
    echo "$f"

for f in *; do
    [ -e $f ] || continue

# bash only
shopt -s nullglob
for f in *; do
    echo "$f"
