Hey Lucas, 

Thanks for reporting this. The latest version of haskell-devscripts now
ensures that the build will fail when a command fails, and that's what
we are seeing here. Up until now, this error has been going unnoticed.

I am reassigning this to haskell-devscripts and will try to solve it.
