Package: haskell-devscripts
Version: 0.16.11
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

dh_haskell_description seems to be doubling the full stop characters (.)
in X-Description when they end up in LongDescription. For example:

X-Description: Line 1, Paragraph 1
 Line 2, Paragraph 1
 .
 Line 1, Paragraph 2

ends up in LongDescription as:
 Line 2, Paragraph 1
 ..
 Line 1, Paragraph 2

and this results in these lintian errors:
E: libghc-exceptions-dev: description-contains-invalid-control-statement line 5
E: libghc-exceptions-dev: description-contains-invalid-control-statement line 9
E: libghc-exceptions-doc: description-contains-invalid-control-statement line 5
E: libghc-exceptions-doc: description-contains-invalid-control-statement line 9
E: libghc-exceptions-prof: description-contains-invalid-control-statement line 5
E: libghc-exceptions-prof: description-contains-invalid-control-statement line 9

See haskell-exceptions package for an example.

Thanks,
Scott
