"Important" is the highest severity which *is not* release-critical.
So an "important" bug is just fine, and won't prevent the package from getting
into 'testing' if all the RC bugs are closed. :-)

Sounds like a good plan to me. Either way you will be able to close this bug.
Remember to make sure gjdoc builds automatically with the version of ant in
main. This means shifting it to build-depend on libant1.5-java (rather than
ant), and making sure that that works. If it doesn't work... gjdoc has to go
in contrib even if libxt-java works. :-(
