I recently upgraded from v1.5.4-<<mumble>> and now I can't rebuild my
project because ant exits with the error:

$ ant
Buildfile: build.xml

BUILD FAILED
Unable to load default ProjectHelper due to 
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/xml/sax/SAXException


N.B. I am using the Sun JDK v1.3.1_10 installed to /usr/local/... and
not any of the VMs listed below.  I will now try to back out to an older
version of ant.
