Package: ant
Version: 1.6.5-3
Severity: normal

http://archive.apache.org/dist/ant/RELEASE-NOTES-1.6.0.html bullet number one upgrades Ant's JDK requirement from version 1.1 to 1.2. ant in Debian should do the same by removing "java1-runtime" from the Depends line.

As far as I can see, this would render #292577 and #291519 obsolete, since both users ran with gij, which only provides java1-runtime.

java1-runtime in debian does not mean the packages only provide
a JDK 1.1 environment. Its used at present to differentiate
free and non-free jdks. I will close this bug report as its
invalid IMHO.

These bugs are obsolete because of the ongoing transition to the g++ 4.0
compiler in debian. During this transition gij components of the older
gij 3.3 and 3.4 was removed from debian.

I will close these bugs when I found time to test the same with gij 4.0
and it will work. They should only apply to stable currently.

Thanks,
Wolfgang
