When I run fakeroot make-jpkg ~/jre-1_5_0_01-linux-i586.bin
I end up with a warning:
Checking free diskspace:/usr/bin/make-jpkg: line 34: [: 48%: integer=20
expression expected
/usr/bin/make-jpkg: line 37: [: 48%: integer expression expected
WARNING: Possibly not enough free disk space in=20
"/tmp/make-jpkg.XXXXSxg4uu".
You need at least 180 MB, but only 48% MB seems free. Note: You
can specify an alternate directory by setting the environment variable
Press Ctrl+C to interrupt, or return to try to continue anyway.
As it happends I have 48% free diskspace on / where /tmp is.
I do manage to create a deb-package, despite this warning.
