When trying to install the Spindle plugin via the Install/Update
manager, I come to a box asking me to choose a location I want to
install the plugin to. Only /usr/share/eclipse is provided as a
choice, and I don't want to use that (and it doesn't work anyway). If
I create a directory /usr/local/share/spindle and try to add that, I
got "Location already exists". But adding
/usr/local/share/eclipse-spindle works fine. Is
/usr/local/share/spindle somehow on an internal list of paths but not
showing in the list of choices?

The current package for Eclipse does include a patch to offer a location
in ~/.eclipse as standard install site. Moreover you are able to put additi=
onal
plugins in /usr/share/lib/eclipse/plugins.

Thank you for reporting the bug.

Stephan Michels.
