Maintaining the 'nice' package

Hi to all!

I'm the upstream author of nice (a programming language based on Java, see 
http://nice.sf.net). I have also maintained the Debian package for a long time, 
and it has been in Debian for some time, thanks to sponsors (Nicolas Sabouret, 
then Arnaud). I am not a Debian developer.

I would like to find a new solution for maintaining the package. The previous 
sponsors are short on time, and Arnaud had problems because of his architecture 
(but I did not get the details). Would it seem a good option to hand over nice 
to pkg-java-maintainers? The debian directory is already in upstream CVS.

In the short term, if somebody can pick up the new version from 
http://cristal.inria.fr/~bonniot/debian/ and upload it, that would be very 
helpful. It has been ready for some time, and fixes several bugs, including RC ones.
