It actually was. Not with a fake one but a real one:

$ rmadison liblucene2-java
liblucene2-java | 2.3.1+ds1-1 | testing/contrib | all
liblucene2-java | 2.3.1+ds1-1 | unstable/contrib | all

Rejected version was 2.3.*2*+ds1-1....
