I know this is old news, but I just got this warning dialog in my face.
And I know what most "regular" users are inclined to do: Just make it
work, which means whitelist high and low.

Out of the box, Debian does not include non-free.  According to the 
package listings of the DFSG walled garden (i.e. "main"), Sun Java 
does not exist.  Not in Debian Etch, the current stable, that is.

Do you assume that nobody trusts _your_ judgement, but uses Google, 
looks for Sun Java, and installs that instead?  Or do you actually 
think that warning dialogs are an adequate security measure here?

IMO, java-gcj-compat-plugin in its current state has no business 
in Debian Stable. (unless that fat warning was a false alarm?)
