Yes, absolutely (see bugs #512396 and #502851). I'm not a DD so cannot 
upload packages, but someone in the pkg-java team will certainly sponsor 
them for you.

BTW for future discussions we should use debian-java at lists.debian.org - this 
list is mainly used for BTS e-mail so things can get drowned.
