Hi

I assume you are talking about an indirect dependency; but if you do
have a problem with the perl currently in testing (or unstable if it has
a freeze exception), you should definitely make sure there is a bug
report on it otherwise Squeeze might be released with a perl that is
broken (for you).
  Unfortunately I cannot help you debug your perl issue and I have to
advocate the use of javahelper 0.32, because the previous version of
jh_manifest had a tendency of adding a random byte or two in the
manifest also causing FTBFS (see #574029).
