When I tried to reproduce this problem again (I need eclipse, so I
installed the non-deb version in the meantime), I was actually able to
fix the problem by manually changing the bundles.info. I think when I
tried this the first time, I may have missed some entries at the bottom
that also referred to files in the home directory.

Nevertheless, removing .eclipse and reinstalling the plugin still does
not help.

Attached are the logs and the
.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_3.5.0_155965261/configuration/org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator/bundles.info
file after removing .eclipse, starting eclipse, installing pydev and
restarting.
