Bug#634089: jarwrapper: Getting CRC error when running a jar file

Package: jarwrapper
Version: 0.37
Severity: important

I have a package where I create a jar file (using jh_build) and put it
into "/usr/share/java/umlet.jar". It is then chmoded to being
executable (using jh_exec) and a symlink to it at /usr/bin/umlet is
created.

Now when I try to run the jar (either through "umlet" or
"/usr/share/java/umlet.jar") I get an CRC error:
Error! CRCs do not match! Got 1a6cd7b3, expected 0
When I run the application using
        "java -jar /usr/share/java/umlet.jar"
everything works just fine.

The package can be downloaded from
	http://www.mesing.de/jarwrapper-bug/umlet_11.3-2.dsc

A similar report was reported against gzip recently
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=627121
Perhaps it could help?

Best regards

Ben
