Source: avalon-framework
Version: 4.2.0-7
Severity: serious
From my pbuilder build log:
...
compile:
[javac] /tmp/buildd/avalon-framework-4.2.0/debian/build.xml:28: warning:
'includeantruntime' was not set, defaulting to build.sysclasspath=last; set to
false for repeatable builds
[javac] Compiling 41 source files to /tmp/buildd/avalon-
framework-4.2.0/build
[javac] Loggable.java:34: package org.apache.log does not exist
[javac] void setLogger( org.apache.log.Logger logger );
[javac] ^
[javac] 1 error
BUILD FAILED

the compiler error output for details.

make: *** [debian/stamp-ant-build] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2
This appears to be a matter of an incorrect DEB_JARS: if I edit debian/rules
and change "excalibur-logkit" to "logkit" the package builds just fine. (Or
maybe the bug is in libexcalibur-logkit-java, if dropping the excalibur-
logkit.jar symlink was an oversight in the recent upload.)
