I saw this failure once last week when Daniel first reported it, in a
sid cowbuilder chroot, and then not since (in 5 subsequent builds).  So
it's a bit odd...  I didn't save the build logs from the failed build,
since I thought the failure would be trivially reproducible.

That doesn't much help isolate the issue, but it is occurring on
multiple systems.
